This course focuses on understanding and improving the communication and interpersonal skills central to a supervisor's effective interactions with their subordinates, peers, and management.
A model of the communication process is presented and selected communication skills are explored. A personality profile instrument is introduced, and the concept of personality type and its applications in improving interpersonal effectiveness examined.
This course introduces participants to basic communication and interpersonal skills necessary to supervise and lead work-teams. Communication will examine both verbal and basic written skills, with an emphasis on active listening techniques. Personality types will be reviewed along with approaches to effectively interact with co-workers. Topics to be covered include: Benefits of team communication; written communications; verbal communication and active listening.
