Mastering Proactive Policing for Patrol
Tuesday, October 13, 2026 | Time: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM | Cost: $249
Being proactive on patrol is about more than just making stops—it’s about spotting crime before it happens and handling it safely
and legally. This course gives patrol officers the skills and knowledge to confidently interdict criminal activity while keeping
themselves and the community safe. You’ll learn to recognize the signs of stress and resistance in people you encounter, including freeze, flight, and fight behaviors, plus the subtle cues that come before them. The course covers building reasonable suspicion, conducting roadside interviews, building rapport, and knowing when (and how) to ask for consent. Body camera footage and scenario-based exercises bring these skills to life and give you hands-on practice in real-world situations.

Advanced Traffic Stops
Wednesday, October 14, 2026 | Time: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM | Cost: $225
Making a traffic stop is one of the most common—and sometimes most legally tricky—things cops do. This course helps officers
sharpen their skills in making stops that are both effective and legally solid. You’ll get a handle on the real-world application of
constitutional principles so your stops hold up in court and build trust with the community. You’ll learn the nuts and bolts of key
traffic stop topics—like the motor vehicle exception, pretext stops, vehicle searches, and passenger questioning. We’ll also cover
the big court decisions that shape how you do your job, and dig into things like K9 sniffs, inventories, and probable cause
searches.

Advanced Interdiction Case Law: Drugs on Wheels
Thursday, October 15, 2026 | Time: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM | Cost: $225
Officers will explore the factors courts have deemed most relevant for exposing drug and human smuggling operations on the
road. The course reinforces the importance of understanding the Fourth Amendment, providing officers with the confidence to
justify their actions and protect their cases from legal challenges. Whether an officer is new to interdiction, looking to expand
proactive policing tools, or a seasoned veteran determined to stay sharp, this course helps keep them one step ahead in the fight against trafficking.
