This course teaches participants a five-step action plan to assess a situation, select and implement interventions and secure appropriate care for the individual. The certification program introduces participants to risk factors and warning signs of mental health problems, builds understanding of their impact and overviews common treatments.
ATTENTION: This course is for DOC BCBIC personnel ONLY!! Any enrollment requests from other agencies or institutions will be denied.
At this time, DOC personnel are not allowed to mix institutions when training in-person.
This course will be held on site at PSETC. Please review the Guidelines for Accessing PSETC for additional information. DOC personnel are required to wear both a mask and face shield when attending in-person training, per DPSCS policy.
